Hi all. I've been learning the flute for about two munths, and I very much enjoy it. I have a sixty year old sterling silver flute that was given to me as a gift. It's a student moddle. Anyway I'm working on tonguing articulation, because I practice scales, air control and teach myself some tunes every day for 3 hours. Just wanted to share that and wonder who else can play the flute, any recommendations?
I play the shakuhachi, though not sure if you count that. It's definitely not a traditional flute--not unless you're japanese.

That counts. I've been around several native american flutes, piccalos and such. The tin whistle too. how long have you been playing it?
Probably on and off about 2/3 months. Difficult instrument.
i play crystal flute, native flute, tin whistle, key flute, and a sideblown wooden flute. you can contact me if you need help or someone to give you tips.
all right! I don't know all those flutes, lol! Thank you!
Koom ba yah my load, koom bah yah.
I've been playing for more than eight years now; I dabbled in some other instruments but flute is my big love. I've just bought a new Di Zhao about a month ago. :) If you need a tip or what have you, send me a PM. I'm always up for flute chat.
